The Last of the Spinach

It's the last of my spinach and it looks good. My mother n law likes to boil it for about 10 minutes. I have never boiled it before just steamed. She did this last night and it was very good. When we have steamed the spinach they did tasteda little bitter but not when you boil it.

I was gone on vaction for 2 weeks and i came back to weeds! finally they are gone but this took me many days to reclaim the garden.

First day of summer!

Well summer has arrived here in Seattle! And i think the rain is on the door step and should be here till July 5Th the official start of summer here in Seattle. I have been on vacation since my last post. Death Valley California to Flagstaff Arizona I'll post some of my photo's soon. But for now here is the spinach that i picked today i have so much it's coming out of my ears.

Peppers!

Last week we built some mini hot houses for the peppers and tomato's in the garden. Here in Seattle it doesn't get hot enough for those peppers so i hope this will do the trick. So far i think this is helping. I have already seen the temp in side of the hot house get to 110 F!

Radishes Are Ready

Hey check it out the first thing up you guessed it radishes. They are good. There is nothing like eating fresh from the garden. I plan to pull them all out this weekend and plant a second row of lettuce.

Today i planted marigolds around the garden. I have done this in the past to keep bugs away from the garden lets hope it will also work on those dogs.

Everthings coming up

They are coming up. I can't wait to eat some fresh veggies. I have been a little busy with work but i am trying to make time to check out the garden every day. Below are radishes , Bush beans and the lettuce.
