2nd and 3rd cabbage

The 2nd and 3rd cabbage have been picked. The 2nd cabbage was 5lbs and the 3rd was 4lbs not bad but nothing like those huge heads they get in Alaska. Tomorrow night we are going to have corned beef and cabbage i can't wait.
I found this great illustration of a cabbage on the web and since i didn't have a photo of 2nd or 3rd i got this. The artist name is Susannah Blaxill and this is her website http://blaxill.com/gallery_bk5.htm

Planted leeks,collards and lettuce
I have started on my fall crops. I have never planted this late but here in Seattle we don't really get that cold. So leeks are 130 days they should be ready somewhere around late November. Leek soup for thanksgiving? Vates Collards 75 days and the Prizehead lettuce around 50 days.

My dill has germinated they should be ready just in time for my pickles
